The Lilyfontein TKY Funduro is a popular annual fundraising ride organised by the Lilyfontein School PTA. Taking place on 6 June 2026, the event runs through the scenic farms of the Tomato Country area and has recently included routes in the Mtyana Private Game Reserve for a more adventurous experience.

Riders can choose from three categories: a Funride for Enduro bikes, a FunVenture for adventure bikes, and a Young Guns loop for younger participants. The Funduro is designed for all skill levels and encourages families and the wider community to enjoy a full day of off-road fun.

Lilyfontein High School is bringing the deviously delicious musical Little Shop of Horrors to life in the school hall from the 4th to the 6th of August. Brilliantly orchestrated by the Lilyfontein music department and talented high school staff, this outstanding production showcases the incredible talent of our high school learners .

The show transforms the stage into Skid Row with catchy 1960’s rock and roll, dark comedy, and a very hungry, very famous green plant, following a mild-mannered floral assistant named Seymour who stumbles across a strange new specimen with a bloodthirsty appetite. Designed for all ages, this highly anticipated event promises an unforgettable experience for families and the wider community to enjoy a full evening of theatrical and musical fun.  

First played in 1994, the Lilyfontein 7-a-Side Rugby is a much-anticipated event held every August. Schools from across the Buffalo City area come together for a day of fast-paced, high-energy sport.

With matches happening on every rugby field, the tournament is action-packed and exciting for both players and spectators. It’s a well-organised event that showcases teamwork, talent, and the spirit of healthy competition.

The Lilyfontein Annual Golf Day is a popular event held each year, bringing together golfers of all skill levels for a day of friendly competition and fun. Played on the beautiful Olivewood Golf Course, the event offers a great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, connect with fellow golf enthusiasts, and support the school.

Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the game, the Golf Day welcomes everyone to join in the camaraderie and excitement. It’s a perfect way to spend a day outside while networking with fellow golfers and contributing to a good cause.

First hosted in 2000, the Lilyfontein Adventure Race takes place every year on the first Saturday in September. It’s a thrilling event designed for adventure lovers who enjoy working in teams and tackling challenges like cycling, kloofing, paddling, running, and orienteering.

With over 100 teams of four and around 600 spectators, the race is a highlight on the regional events calendar. It offers a unique mix of excitement, endurance, and teamwork—all set in the stunning natural surroundings of the Lilyfontein area.

The Lilyfontein Tomato Trot & Cycle is a much-loved annual event that takes place in October and offers something for everyone—from serious athletes to families looking for a fun day out. With a variety of running and cycling routes through scenic farmland and countryside, the event caters to all fitness levels.

Whether you’re tackling the challenging trails or enjoying a leisurely walk, the Tomato Trot is a great way to get active and support the school. It’s a festive day filled with community spirit, outdoor fun, plenty of fresh air, and probably some mud too.
