On the 12th of June 2021 Lilyfontein School proudly hosted the 11th Lilyfontein Funduro, with petrol heads from the local Enduro community turning out for a day of fun riding in the bush.
The Funduro caters for both adult and younger riders, with a fun 8km circuit on the school grounds for the young guns and a 38km route for adults. Starting on the school grounds, the main 38km route takes riders out through hills and valleys on privately owned land on neighbouring farms, with optional detours through extreme sections designed for more advanced riders. This makes the Funduro an event for riders of all skill levels, with the aim being to just get out there and have a blast, whether you’re an extreme rider or a weekend warrior.
As always, the Funduro could not have taken place without the awesome support of the Enduro community, the dynamic Lilyfontein PTA team, Funduro committee and the plethora of businesses who generously sponsored the event. A big thank you to all who gave of their time, skills and know-how to ensure that the day was a loud, dusty, adrenaline fuelled success.
