Music
Music is an integral part of every Phase of Lilyfontein. We offer class music as part of the curriculum for Life Skills/Creative Arts in Grade R through to Grade 6. Here the learners are exposed to the world of music, sounds, theory and performance. We also offer individual tuition in piano, keyboard, recorder, and guitar.

We provide an opportunity for our learners to gain ensemble experience in recorder groups, marimba bands and steel drum bands at various levels. We also enjoy choirs and singing groups throughout the Phases.
Lessons mainly take place during the school morning, or in the afternoons by arrangement. Bands/choirs can be during the school morning or co-curricular in the afternoons.
We perform at:
- The Port Rex Lion’s Eisteddfod
- The ELSMA Festival
- School occasions such as Founders Day, Open Days and Prize Giving’s
- School concerts, School productions, Assemblies
