Thank you to everyone that contributed to the success of our Founder's Day celebrations: parents, learners, staff, coaches and past pupils. The PTA's country fair and tea Garden was a huge success. Many thanks to all the sponsors Border Aviation Club, Beckley Brothers, Crossways Pharmacy, Cut by Rhonda, Happy Veg, Buccaneers Lodge and Backpackers, Spring Veg, Tea in the Trees, Umnenga Lodge, Maclears Stationery, Glendale Trucking, Martin & Scheepers, Mambos Plastic Warehouse, Louise Pietrucci, Crossways SPAR and C&S Suppliers.
Winners of the guess the teacher competition were Nathan Adams and Joanna Lloyd - they each won a fruit basket from Food Lovers Market.
Thanks also to the judges of the Past Pupils Potjie competition Kiki and Lloyd Staples.
SPORT / EXTRA MURALS
The last day of sport/Extra Murals for the second term will be Wednesday 3, June 2015. However, match fixtures will be honoured. Coaches will keep their teams informed.
THEFT AT SCHOOL
It saddens me to suddenly be confronted with a spate of theft at our school. Be assured that we are seriously looking into how this is happening and any student offenders will be subjected to the regulations of serious misconduct – suspension or expulsion. Any staff offenders will face disciplinary action with official police intervention. The SMT and SGB are also investigating the use of cameras throughout the school to maintain this action, a sad reality that has eventually been forced on our school as well. Please re-inforce the principle of honesty at home and explain to your children the consequences as contained in the letter sent to all parents on
15 May 2015.
Please take note of school times till the end of term:
Thursday 4, June – Friday, 19 June 2015, school will close at 12:10 and buses will leave at 12:20
Monday, 22 June – Thursday, 25 June 2015, school will close at 14:10 and buses will leave at 14:20
Friday, 26 June 2015 – school will close at 10:30 and buses will leave at 11:00.
