Dear Parents,
 
Our Founders Day Celebrations will take place next week-end and we hope to see our Lilyfontein family all attending the Derby Day against Stutterheim and support the FUN PTA Games Day on the Saturday.  We look forward to a busy week-end as our sports teams will be participating in various fixtures, all the best and remember to always show good sportsmanship. Please take note of the following.


SCHOOL TIMES: Friday, 17 May 2019
On Friday, 17 May, Lilyfontein School will celebrate our 114th birthday. Please note that school will close for all Grade 1-12 at 1pm on this day.

SECURITY ACCESS:

Access security to the school will be tightened. All vehicles without stickers will be subject to being stopped. Please make use of the opportunity to purchase your access stickers (R50 each) from the front office. Thank you for your co-operation and we request that you please be patient during our endeavours to secure our school and the safety of your children.

FOUNDER’S DAY ART PROJECT - #SNAP #IT
One of our growing traditions at Founders Day is our collaborative, upcycled art project that the entire school can participate in.  This will be our 6th year of creating something new from something old.

Photography competition:
Capture the beauty and essence of our school in a picture. 
Walk around with your cameras or parents and find the perfect angle and #SNAP #IT. Email your 'Lilyfontein snapshot' to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. before Tuesday 14th May, with your name and class in the email body and your image could be chosen and brought to life on Founder’s Day, in our unique upcycled, photo collage.  Entry to the competition is free and the decision will be made by a panel of judges.  Get snapping!

Photo Collection:
We collecting old photographs for the project.  Pull out all those old photographs that you don’t want anymore and bundle them up. 5 photographs gets you 1 house point.


PTA FOUNDERS DAY: Games Day Tickets on Sale
Please note that Founders Day Games Day & Food ticket booklets will be on sale at R50 a booklet.  All games are R5 each. One booklet gives you 10 tickets. Tickets available from PTA Monday-Thursday next week.
