High School Book Lists

Please note that the text book lists have been loaded onto the D6 and the website for ordering from African Book Connection. If second hand books are needed, please make contact with a child from the grade your child will be entering. As the holidays are extremely short this year, please order your 2019 books as soon as possible, to ensure stock and delivery as the holidays are short and Mrs Hutchinson will order the stock now, so there will be no delay at the start of the year. Last week #Lilyfontein Pre-Primary were learning about the ocean. The learners were able to come to school dressed up as their favourite sea creatures and bring posters and books about the sea. How wonderful it is to be a child. #NEVERstopLEARNING!

#TEDTALK Tuesday introduces How to gain control of your free time by Laura Vandekam. There are 168 hours in each week. How do we find time for what matters most? Time management expert Laura Vanderkam studies how busy people spend their lives, and she's discovered that many of us drastically overestimate our commitments each week, while underestimating the time we have to ourselves. She offers a few practical strategies to help find more time for what matters to us, so we can "build the lives we want in the time we've got."
