Dear Parents / Guardians,

PUBLIC HOLIDAY: Heritage Day 24 September
Please note that school will be closed on Monday to celebrate Heritage Day

SCHOOL CLOSES: 10:30am on Friday 28 September


Grades 1 - 7:
These reports will be sent home with your child/ren on Friday, 28 September 2018.
Grades 8 - 11:
Parents are to collect these reports between 10:30 and 11:00 on Friday, 28 September in the Art Room. Please note that should you be unable to collect your child's report, an adult is to be sent with a letter of permission from yourself to collect the report.
Grade 12:
Please note:  Due to the change in the matric exams, we will confirm during next week as to whether the matric reports will be issued on Friday, 28 September or in the new term.

Intermediate Phase: Book character dress up day 25 September

Have fun and build a costume with your child.  They will be required to dress up as a character from a book they have read. Their outfit needs to be modestly appropriate. No skimpy outfit’s allowed. The learner will need to give four cryptic clues as to who they are portraying, and the rest of the class will have to surmise who the character is. They will also need to express why they enjoyed the book they have read. There will be an overall prize for the best dressed represented character.

Foundation and Intermediate Phase enter the Rhino Rap & poetry competition to celebrate Rhino Month.

RESULTS: Debating 
Adon Parker, Daniel du Plessis and Aiden Young (A team) debated against Merrifield A on Wednesday,13 February and won their debate.
Adon Parker was Best Speaker. Sethu Jikwa and Iman Mciteka adjudicated.

Unfortunately, our B team: Yonda Nonyathi, Liyabona Mlungwana and Bonolo Ramela, lost their debate against Clarendon B’s, but they gained from the vigorous debate. WELL DONE!

Congratulations to Teo Bosazza and Ej Mollentze for being selected to go to Cape Town for the National XCO MTBike competition as part of the Eastern Cape MTB team. We wish them all the best of luck.
