Dear Parents / Guardians,

PUBLIC HOLIDAY: Heritage Day 24 September
Please note that school will be closed on Monday to celebrate Heritage Day

SCHOOL CLOSES: 10:30am on Friday 28 September

REPORT COLLECTION:

Grades 1 - 7:
These reports will be sent home with your child/ren on Friday, 28 September 2018.
Grades 8 - 11:
Parents are to collect these reports between 10:30 and 11:00 on Friday, 28 September in the Art Room. Please note that should you be unable to collect your child's report, an adult is to be sent with a letter of permission from yourself to collect the report.
Grade 12:
Please note:  Due to the change in the matric exams, we will confirm during next week as to whether the matric reports will be issued on Friday, 28 September or in the new term.

DRESS UP: 
Intermediate Phase: Book character dress up day 25 September

Have fun and build a costume with your child.  They will be required to dress up as a character from a book they have read. Their outfit needs to be modestly appropriate. No skimpy outfit’s allowed. The learner will need to give four cryptic clues as to who they are portraying, and the rest of the class will have to surmise who the character is. They will also need to express why they enjoyed the book they have read. There will be an overall prize for the best dressed represented character.

ECO:  Celebrating Rhino Month in style
Foundation and Intermediate Phase enter the Rhino Rap & poetry competition to celebrate Rhino Month.

Please find the following results from the EC Showjumping and Equitation Champs, held in Grahamstown 22-24 Sept:

  • Anya Nash: 1st equitation 90cm, 1st accumulator jumping 90cm, 3rd welcome stakes jumping, and 3rd championship jumping 90cm.
  • Kirsten Nash: 2nd jumping 80cm, 2nd championship jumping 80cm, 3rd equitation 80cm.
  • Kiera Davis: 2nd overall reserve champion 90cm, 1st welcome stakes jumping 1m, and 1st A2 speed 1m
