Dear Parents

Please take note of the following important information:


  • Grades 1 – 7 : These reports will be sent home with your child/ren on Friday, 2 October and will only be available from 10:30.
  • Grades 8 – 12: Parents are to collect these reports between 10:30 and 11:00 on Friday, 2 October in the Art Room.

Please note that should you be unable to collect your child’s report, an adult is to be sent with a letter of permission from yourself to collect the report. Thank you for your support in this matter.

Class & Individual Photographs : Grades 1 - 12
Class and individual photographs will be taken on Wednesday, 30 September 2015 for Grades 1 - 12. The following photographs will also be taken on the day:

  • Junior and Senior Leaders
  • Interact
  • Rugby 1st Team
  • Netball 1st Team
  • Hockey 1st Team
  • Cricket 1st Team
  • Tennis High School
  • First Aid

All learners to ensure uniforms are clean and tidy. Grade 7 to 12 to be in formal uniform and first teams to have their kit available.

Good Luck SA Champs Adventure Racers!
Good luck to the following learners as they travel to KZN to compete in the SA Schools Adventure Racing Champs on 26 September:

  • U13 - Anya Nash, Jethro Kriel, Eden Morgan & Ross Nicholson
  • U15 - Melissa Hayward, Matthew Niemand,Jarrod Rehse & Ludwig Bremer
  • U15 -  Robyn Emslie, Teo Jordaan, Ryan Swart & Tess van der Walt

Gratitude Assembly
Please see the attached letter regarding our request for contirbutions for the upcoming Gratitude Assembly.

Public/School Holiday
School will close at 14:10 on Wednesday, 23 September and buses will leave at 14:15 - there will be no sport on this day. Thursday, 24 September is a Public Holiday and Friday, 25 September is a school holiday. School will, therefore, open again for the last week of term on Monday, 28 September 2015.

Sport/Extra Murals to end of 3rd Term
Sport for next week Monday & Tuesday, 21 & 22 September:

  • Grade 1 - 3 : sport will continue as normal
  • Grade 4 - 11 :
  • Cricket will replace rugby and boys hockey
  • Girls winter sport and adventure sport continues as normal

Wednesday, 23 September – there will be no sport on this day and buses will run at 14:15.
28 September – 2 October :

  • There will only be cricket practice for 1st, U15 and U13 boys going on tour. The respective coaches will inform players of days and times.
No other sport/extra murals will take place during the last week of term. Buses will run at 14:15 Monday to Thursday (28 September - 1 October) and at 11:00 on Friday, 2 October.

24hr Cycle Challenge: 16-17 October 2015
The event details and entry form are available at the following link or on www.lilyfontein.co.za. Entries close 14 October 2015 at 16h00. Grade 4-12 cyclists get your team of 6 together and start training!
