Outgoing SGB
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the outgoing SGB, most ably led by Mrs Gerna Jordaan, for all their time and effort over the past three years of office. The results of their efforts are very evident.

Welcome to the new School Governing Body
Thank you to each parent who made the effort to attend the School Governing Body elections. We reached our quorum and were able to vote. Thank you also to the thirteen parents who volunteered to be on the committee - your support of our school is hugely appreciated.
Congratulations to the following parents who will be serving for the next three years: Anne-Lise Bollaert-Davies, Jason Bowen, Yvette Harmse, Angus Jackson, Siviwe Magwaca, Jennifer Nash, Sean Price, Gareth Stanton and Sean van den Berg. They will be joining the elected staff members: Alison Fouché, Julia Nass, Anita Middleton and Sharon Allan; and the elected RCL Learner Representatives: John-Georg Weschta (Gr 12), Jordan Ekron (Gr 11) and Jessica Rutherford (Gr 10).
We wish them every success.

Senior Leaders take on the Round Table Charity Bed Race : 17 March
Good luck to the Senior Leaders and Adventure team who will be racing hospital beds around the East London Race Track on Saturday at the Round Table charity Bed Race. Race starts at 13:00 and gates open at 10:00. R20 for adults and R10 for scholars.

Aerobathon : 27 March
Please note that the date on the Aerobathon Entry Form is incorrect! Join the Adventure team for a three hour Aerobathon on 27 March, 16:30 - 19:30 in the School Hall. Entries cost R50 and forms can be collected from reception. Put your takkies on and join in the fun!

Cape Town Water Collection
Thank you to everyone who has already sent in their sealed 5 liter water bottles for the Junior Leaders collection. A reminder that you have until Friday, 23 March to send in to school.

Senior debaters, Adon Parker, Aiden Young and Daniel du Plessis won their debate on 14 March against West Bank. Adon Parker was named Best Speaker. Congratulations!

RYLA: Conor Jacobs has been selected to participate in the Rotary Youth Leadership camp at the Thomas Baines Nature Reserve from Thursday, 15th March – Sunday, 18th March. Congratulations!
INTERACT SHIRTS: All Interactors who ordered shirts are requested to please collect and pay for them from Mrs Pretorius’ office.
JERSEY WEEK: Over the holidays please do some clearing out of your cupboards and bring your unwanted clothes to school next term.
Jersey Week is in May next term.

Lilyfontein School Golf Day
The Grade 11's are hosting a Golf Day on Saturday, 17 March 2018 at Gonubie Golf Course to raise money for the matric dance. Please show your support and join them for a round!

FOR SALE: Tomato Trot Race Shirts
We have 50 medium sized BUCO Tomato Trot & Cycle race shirts available for sale. If you missed out, or loved it so much you would like a spare, please take R30,00 per shirt to the school shop which is open Monday to Thursday from 07:30 to 08:00. All proceeds go to the development of Lilyfontein School.

Hockey Senior Boys
Please note that Hockey Senior Boys will practice on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesday from 14:30 to 16:00. To remain a part of the team, at least 2 practices a week need to be attended.

Swimming : Country District Gala
Congratulations to the following Lilyfontein swimmers who formed part of the Amathole Country Districts Team who participated in Graaff Reinett.: Daniel Naude, Michael Naude, Jordyn Marr, Keegan Marr, Sadie Steyn and Oliver Pascoe.
Well done to Keegan Marr who received 4 gold medals, Jordyn Marr - 1 gold and 2 silver and Danial Naude on receiving 2 bronze medals.
