2 March 2018

Dear Parents,
Please take note of the following:

School Governing Body Elections: 13 March
Please diarise 13 March for the SGB elections. A new governing body is elected once every 3 years. The SA Schools Act informs us on how the election should be held. One of the critical points is that we need a minimum of 15% of the parents present to form a quorum. Without a quorum the election cannot proceed and this has negative consequences for the school. We need your support by attending the meeting. Please make the effort to attend. Your school needs you!
Please read the letter at this link which outlines the role of the SGB and how the election will be conducted and includes the REPLY SLIP THAT NEEDS TO BE RETURNED TO SCHOOL ON MONDAY, 5 MARCH.

Valentine’s Day activities raised a sum of R7 268! Thank you so much for supporting this fund raiser. To the Board and Club what an amazing achievement – Well done!
BLOOD CLINIC: The target for the first clinic was 23 units and we bled 28. We also had 6 new donors. Bless ALL who donated.
JERSEY WEEK: Over the holidays please do some clearing out of your cupboards and bring your unwanted clothes to school next term. Jersey Week is in May next term.

Unfortunately our Seniors lost the debate against West Bank. Well done to Daniel du Plessis who was Best Speaker!

Hospitality Results Top in the Country AGAIN
