Dear Parents

Please take note of the following:

Holidays
It has been a very busy term. Thank you to those of you who have been so fully involved in all the events at Lilyfontein – we have much to be proud of ….Well done!
Have a good break before the final lap of the year.

Sport/Extra Mural & School Times
Sport/Extra Murals will begin on the FIRST day of next term, 9 October 2017. Bus times from 9 October will therefore be:
Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays – 16:10
Fridays – 14:15

4th Term Planner
Our 4th Term Planner will be sent out early next term once all fixture dates have been received.

Budget Meeting
This is to remind you of our Budget Meeting which will be held on Tuesday, 24 October 2017 at 18:00 in the School Hall.

Valedictory Assembly
The above assembly will take place in the school hall on Wednesday, 18 October 2017 at 10:00.

High School Prize Giving
Our High School Prize Giving will take place in our school hall on Tuesday, 17 October 2017.

Santam Children's Art Competition
Congratulations to Caitlin Barnard and Ilke King whose artworks were chosen for the Santam Children's Art Competition. The work will be displayed on the "Burst of Colour" Online Exhibition in 2018.

Drum Majorettes
Congratulations to the following Lilyfontein Drum Majorettes on being awarded their Provincial Colours:
- Liyahluma Simelane
- Hope Mnisi
- Tariro Chinamasa
- Addyson Stanton
- Onwabe Banjwa
- Hannah van der Merwe
- Caitlin Barnard
Addyson and Onwabe are the youngest girls to ever receive Provincial Colours for majorettes in the country. All of the girls have been
invited to attend the SAMCA camp in December where they will stand a chance to be chosen for the SA team.

Mountain Biking
Congratulations to the following learners who have been awarded their Provincial School Colours by East Cape Cycling, having met the required criteria during the Spur MTB School series in the Amathole District:

Cricket Tours
Good luck to all our cricketers who will participate in the following events during the holidays:
U13 – currently playing in the Co-Ed Festival in East London.
1st Team – will be participating in the Cambridge Festival from today until Monday.
U11 Tour to Knysna – thank you to Ms Jacobs and Mr Geldenhuys for accompanying them.
U15 Tour to Knysna – thank you to Mr Sofute and Mr Allan for accompanying them.

SA Adventure Racing
Good luck to all our teams participating in the SA Adventure Champs during the holidays. Thank you to Mrs Mitchell and Mr Friend for accompanying them.

Cycling
Good luck to the Lilyfontein Team who will travel to Magaliesberg to participate in the Spur Interschools MTB Competition: Zachary Swart, Matthew Niemand, Sabro Atakligan, Anagret Swart, Anya Nash and Kirsten Nash

Paddling
Luke Langfield participated in the Pre-Fish River Canoe Marathon and we wish him luck as he will be participating in the Half Fish River Marathon on 7 October.
