ANNUAL BUDGET MEETING : Tuesday, 24 October 2017 at 18H00
Our Annual Budget Meeting will be held on Tuesday, 24 October at 18H00 in the school hall. This is without a doubt the most important parent meeting of the year, as the finance committee will not only be presenting the 2017 financial records, but also proposing the 2018 budget for parent body approval. It is this 2018 budget, which determines the amounts that we will be paying for school fees next year, and consequently what academic and extramural programmes we will be in a position to offer our children. Once the meeting has approved this budget, neither the school nor the governing body can alter it unless another full parent meeting is called.
Please make every effort to attend this very important meeting.
Guitar Tea Concert
The annual Guitar Tea Concert will be held on Saturday, 16 September 2017 from 10:00 - 12:00 in the School Hall. Tickets are available from the Finance Office at R25 per ticket. Please send the money with name, grade and number of tickets to the Finance Office before Monday, 11 September 2017. Any queries in this regard, please contact Mrs Wiggill at the school.
Foundation Phase Extra Mural Changes
Please take note of changes to the timetable for next week. The new timetable has been sent home with your child today and can be downloaded here
Grade 9 Subject Choice Evening
A letter has been sent home with your Grade 9 child today. Please ensure that you read and take note of the contents as well as the scheduled Subject Choice Meeting on Tuesday, 19 September at 6pm in the School Hall. Thank you.
Sunflower Day: 15 September
Buy a Tope for R25 from Pick n Pay or online from Zando and help us give the hope of life to patients suffering from blood disorders such as Leukemia. We will photograph our learners wearing the topes in unusual ways on Friday, 15 September and submit them for a competition in which we could win up to R20 000,00. Get together with your class reps and let's get creative! There are prizes for the school with the biggest percentage of their learners that wear a tope on that day so please do your part to help Lilyfontein School's fundraising effort.
TOPEs are still available at Pick n Pay in Gonubie, Vincent Mall and Hemingways.Alternatively, contact Ryan Baisley – Roundtable Nahoon 081 171 2047
